At Flocklocal, we're looking for a Edinburgh-based marketing manager to join our team. As always, any feedback and offers of help are appreciated, and we urge you to get in touch. However, we're also looking for a very specific role - read more for details.
We are seeking someone to work with us as our local marketing manager in Edinburgh. As our current staff are unpaid, this would unfortunately also be an unpaid position but we can offer full support and provide valuable work experience and references afterwards.
We are looking for someone to: (These are suggestions not a definite "must-have" list)
- Work with charities that have existing casual volunteering opportunities. This would include promoting our website and tools to these potential users and then liaising with the Flocklocal team with feedback and ideas for new features.
- Publicising events already on the Flocklocal site and Flocklocal in general.
- Working on text pages for our website introducing and explaining ourselves.
- Maybe even organising new events directly.
They would need to have experience with on-line and social marketing, being able to talk about websites and details of the tools available on ours, but they'll not need any programming skills themselves.
They would be self organising to a great extent whilst regularly discussing work with the core team, and the level of commitment would be up for discussion. We have people we can call on for advice and guidance, so the role would be a good learning opportunity. We have won office space on Rose St, which could be used for official meetings.
Anyone interested should get in touch via the contact us links on our site; we can let you have a play on our testing site to explore what we do.
Thank you,
James
